Officiating

Regardless of your age, ability, or experience of playing cricket, if you have a passion for our game and want to be involved, then officiating could be for you.

Officiating can be an excellent way of staying involved in the game once your playing or coaching days are over, where you'll be able to develop new skills and continue to make a contribution to the game. With opportunities for progression from the recreational game to the highest levels of the game, there's something for everyone to help the sport run smoothly across England and Wales.

Umpiring

Described by some as having the 'best seat in the house', umpires are in the middle of the game and make decisions to ensure the game is played fairly and in accordance to the laws of the game

Scoring

Scoring plays a crucial part in a game of cricket, ensuring that runs scored, wickets down and other key information is recorded during the game

ECB Association of Cricket Officials (ACO)

The ECB Association of Cricket Officials (ACO) represents scorers and umpires for and on behalf of the national governing body, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
